Getting weight lifting motivation can be a tough task. It's easy to get discouraged and hard to get started as well. It can be a task all in itself, let alone actually working out.
The first step is deciding that you want to workout, then you must get the motivation to follow through, which usually comes right after your decision or soon there after. Sometimes, this motivation suddenly wears off, and you find yourself asking, "Where did my motivation go? I just had it a couple minutes ago."

Having a reason to workout is an excellent weight lifting motivation strategy. Whether it is to lose weight, gain muscle, or to get in shape for sports, or anything else, as long as you have something to work towards. As long as you have a reason to workout, your motivation and inspiration will come to you.
Some people fail to follow through with a workout simply because they aren't ready. This is a rather disappointing way to end up not getting in the gym. Do whatever you have to do ahead of time so you know you wont lose motivation.
If you have to prepare your pre-workout meal ahead of time, so be it. Get it ready hours, or even a day in advance. If you find yourself dragging over preparing your gym back, make sure you have it packed and all ready to go hours in advance.
Get your gym clothes, shoes, and whatever else you need packed. Get your pre-workout supplements and post-workout supplements too, you mine as well.
Getting disciplined is a major part of weight lifting motivation. Once you start getting in the groove of things, working out becomes a habit. Your brain will remind you, "HEY! It's time to workout." You will begin to feel incomplete if you do not go to the gym.
Getting disciplined and making the gym a habit is a sure fire way to ensure yourself to reach your goals. It just takes that little bit of commitment in the beginning to get going, but once your there, it feels great!
After you get disciplined it is up to you to stay that way. If you miss a day or two, no big deal, just don't get used to it, get right back in the swing of things.
The main thing, is to have fun people! Working out does not have to be a chore. Once you start to see change and reach goals, you will be excited and start to enjoy working out, that is what it is all about!
Work out with a friend, this is a great way to enjoy your workout and make fun with it. You can also push each other and aid each other in your exercises, which helps with results.
Reward yourself for reaching your goals! Go out to celebrate your buy yourself something nice, you deserve it! Nothing gives you weight lifting motivation like seeing your hard work pay off.
